it's safe to say the mr. lee is ecstatic.

and back

hopefully, my sister amy is okay with this picture!

a terrible picture of the roof

step inside, there's still lots of work to be done

uhg, we're still priming!

and here's where it starts to get nasty

but we've done alot; that little patch of mildew on the bathroom
wall (above) is what all of the walls looked like when we started!

we'll patch the floor and lay bamboo! hooray!

oh, and p.s.
i finally got my order in for about 100ft of gaskets and trim, so we'll have everything next monday.
woot!

not much to tell

i've finally found a retailer in california that carries the window gaskets that we need.
$.70 a sq. ft.! wahoo! way cheaper than we had anticipated.
we'll be getting new trim for the vista windows, so i haven't gotten to place my order yet on account of the woman i talked to having to check on the part and not calling me back yet.
hopefully well be able to get this all taken care of soon!
we're also squeezing in some work tomorrow night, since we'll be busy this holiday weekend.
but in two weeks we'll have 4 straight days of work! yay!
oh, and the rug i ordered for the living room came this week- it's perfect.

feliz cumpleaƱos

with my birthday just around the corner, this pillow on the airtsream website, is at the top of my list.

progress, progress

slowly, but surely, things are coming along.
after several weekend of gutting and cleaning mildew off of the interior walls, we were excited to being painting today.
with our 5 gallon bucket of kilz and over priced paint brushes, we set to work.
while we still have some places left to prime, the majority has been done.
lee and i plan to write out a detailed time line tomorrow, which will include all of our 'need-to-do's' in regards to our deadline, which may be sooner than we had originally anticipated. possibly mid-may as opposed to the first of june.
once we have the time-line ready, i'll post it.
also, i've just included a list of links (to the right of the page) with resources for parts or information in regards to airstreams and renovation; and also a list of personal links.
and just for fun, i've added a wish list to my profile that includes some parts and housewares that i plan to use in the interior design.
my task this week is to find replacement window gaskets, as the original gaskets have rotten out, causing some awful leaks; i found a website where i may be able to find the right sized ones.

update

we didn't get anything done this weekend.
we managed to fit in a trip to homedepot to pick up a few paining supplies, but no real progress made, which is a bummer.
although, we have compramised on a few things.
lee and i weren't seeing totally eye to eye on some issues.
basically, he want to complatley redo everything, whereas i'm much more conservative about it all.
so we've chosen to lay bamboo flooring throughout, add tile in the bathroom and replace the bathroom counter and sink,
but we're leaving the kitchen countertop alone and we're just going to rehab the existing shower, for now.
